Empowering Indonesian Women for Poverty Reduction (MAMPU)

Client: Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

The Program aims to improve the lives of poor rural and urban women in Indonesia by increasing access to jobs and social protection, improving conditions for overseas migrant labourers and strengthening leadership in the areas of maternal health and combatting violence against women. The program works with national women's and gender-interested organisations and their local partners to forge coalitions with others in the public and private sectors to advocate for and advance reforms to address poverty reduction for women.

Abt JTA Asia Pacific works in partnership with Cowater International to implement and manage this flagship gender program.
