FHSSP: Infection Control Manual launched to help reduce maternal and child deaths

As part of the Australian Government’s ongoing commitment to reduce maternal and child mortality in Fiji, an in-service training manual on infection prevention and control in maternity units was launched this morning by the visiting Australian Minister for International Development and the Pacific, the Hon Steven Ciobo, alongside Minister for Health and Medical Services, the Hon Jone Usamate, at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva.

The ‘Infection prevention and control in Maternity Units’ manual has been developed through the Australian Government’s Fiji Health Sector Support Program, with the Fiji Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
